FMP

Initially, me and Rhys were talking about working together for FMP. Andy and Tim were also thinking of doing something similar so we joined forces.

Our group consists of two artists and two writers, so we will have to work together to manage roles and ideas that everyone will be happy with. For me, this project is not only about developing a body of work but also learning how to work in an environment similar to other companies to a professional standard.

The first few ideas consisted of a racing game and an adventure game. We leaned towards the racing game. However we realised there were too many difficulties in creating one. I liked the idea of an FPS, similar to doom, that explored car culture in the 60’s, like the greaser’s, with an aesthetic similar to Jamie Hewllett.

I liked the idea of an fps similar to Doom because of Vlambeer’s Gun Godz. With 2D enemies and a limited view.

I've been following Vlambeer for a while because of the interesting games they put out. You can get Gun Godz for free on here. I also wanted to make something similar to Gun Godz because the soundtrack is amazing. Vlambeer's game have always featured great music that go really well with the flow of the game play. incorporating music the way Vlambeer does would be really interesting.
